“Cattle Creek / Pioneer River” Rural Block
Do you ever drive up the Pioneer Valley from Pleystowe to Eungella and envy the properties which sit on the Pioneer River? Well, they don’t come up very often but we have one priced for a quick sale, and has been partly cleared/slashed so you can have a good look around, on foot this weekend. Wear your boots and bring your family for a country drive, and do lunch whilst you’re up here.
Situated between a private established block with plentiful trees and shrubs, and Valley Rural Services, Trueman’s siding. Cattle Creek and the Pioneer River are both one of the few 'blue water' creeks/rivers in Queensland. Flowing down via rain & mountain Springwater from Eungella & Dalrymple Heights, Cattle Creek flows into the heart of the Pioneer Valley merging into the Pioneer River, near Benholme (west of Mirani), then to the mouth of the river in Mackay, to the Pacific Ocean.
Access to Cattle Creek is restricted by mostly freehold ownership, therefore this property is as rare as they come.
Base yourself here and be nearby to Kinchant, Eungella & Teemburra Dams. Great lifestyle recreational dams for Camping, Fishing or Boating.
There is a lot of new activity in Finch Hatton with the new FINCH HATTON SUITES (Eungella Realty and Lisa’s Gypsy Wagon), where you can RENT-A-SHELF and sell your home-made products or 2nd hand goods with Lisa for only 10 bucks a week.
Restaurants and Cafes a-plenty are from Pinnacle to Finch Hatton Gorge, and to Broken River, including:- Pinnacle Hotel, Pinnacle Church Café, Ulysses Garden Café, Criterion Hotel, Finch Hatton General Store, Eungella General Store, Eungella Chalet Hotel and cabins, Suzanna’s Hideaway Café, Broken River Mountain Resort & Platypus Al-fresco Restaurant.
There is power to the front of the block or take this as an opportunity to live off-the-grid with gas fridges, generators or battery banks. Live here permanently or as a weekender. Start with a council approved 2 bay shed and work your way up to your dream or modest home. Watch the Locos go past your front boundary during the cane crush season, or even better, work for a local farmer, Zarbs Transport, or Mackay Sugar for half the year, and have the other half off. It would be a nice change from 1 week on and 1 week off. Have 6 months to yourself and semi-retire.
The Finch Hatton township is a 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive, with more conveniences including Post Office, Store, the Gift Shed, Mount Ossa Rural Co-op, RSL (Sub-branch), 1921 War Memorial, and the iconic Finch Hatton Showgrounds, which hosts Australia’s largest one (1) day country show, in June each year.
For me personally, I would be walking next door for the morning paper, then head creek-side with a cuppa or for an early morning dip, to get the heart started. A truly fantastic Australian Lifestyle block, in the beautiful Pioneer Valley.
Call Fiona on 0437 558 145 or Danielle on 0419 766 305 for an inspection or more information. Rates are approx. $700 per half year.
